Hi. To clarify your question, are you referring to a penalty for your auto insurance policy? If so, what type of penalty is it and what is it in regards to?

The question sounds as though it is regarding a specific policy matter which an agent (who is not servicing the policy) would not be able to comment on. More information would be needed to help provide any available input.

The best thing to do would be to contact your auto insurance agent who services the policy or call the insurance carrier directly.

I hope the information is helpful - thanks very much.

All insurance policies are legal contracts. The policy must give a reason that the company could use to charge you additional premium beyond the contracted amount. This sounds like a highly unusual situation and probably involves the addition of an inexperienced driver or modification of the vehicle. It could also occur if the company determined that the car was being used differently
