No. ObamaCare is a name that has become attached to a law passed in 2010 called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), it is also sometimes referred to as the "Affordable Care Act". This legislation was a centerpiece of the Obama administration's political agenda and it significantly re-engineered the health insurance industry through such actions as making policies guaranteed to be issued, eliminating pre-existing condition exclusions and limitations, requiring that all policies cover certain "Minimum Essential Benefits" and creating Federal or State run health insurance marketplaces to facilitate the purchasing of health insurance and perhaps subsidizing the cost of health insurance policies for people below 400% of the Federal Poverty Line.

ObamaCare itself provides no health insurance coverage. That is still a function of health insurance companies now operating under the requirements of ObamaCare.

No! Obamacare is not health insurance! It represents a scam by the federal government to offer affordable health insurance through either a federal or state-run marketplace. But, when all the smoke cleared it eliminated much of the competition in among health insurers and raised premiums to an unaffordable point to some individuals and families that do no qualify for a subsidy. But, the bottom line Obamacare is only the law passed to screw the American people!
