Does The VA Offer Disability Insurance?
- 63333 POINTSview profilePeggy MaceMost of the U.S.The VA does not offer Disability Insurance, per se, but does offer a Total Disability Income Provision (TDIP) rider on their group Life insurance plans. There is a 6 month elimination period and the Disability Income benefit lasts for as long as the disability exists. Applicants for the rider must apply before their 55th birthday, and must be able to medically qualify for it.Answered on June 27, 2013flag this answer
