    The key to understanding Homeowner’s coverage is the word “damage.” While an insect infestation is messy and expensive it rarely results in damage. The language in your homeowner’s policy probably excludes damage caused by insects. There is a provision for unsuspected termite damage but rarely anything for bed bugs.
