However, you can combine a separate Living Benefit Life or Supplemental Benefit policy that provides cash benefits in case of Accidents, Critical Illness, Disability, Terminal Illness or Death. This is a great way to offset financial risk in most cases.
The primary reason having two Medigap policies is not allowed is that fact that there would be zero benefit to doing so. All insurance policies contain a clause known as co-ordination of benefits, which allows multiple insurers to work together to determine who is responsible for paying your claim. Insurance is intended to help protect one from possible loss, to to profit by having two different companies pay the same bill.

No. It's useless to have 2 medigap plans anyway as the coverage would become redundant - you would be paying extra money for no additional benefit as the carrier wouldn't be able to pay extra above and beyond what's stated in the policy. E.g. (under the assumption that you could have 2 Medigap plans) if you have a plan F and a plan N, the plan F already covers everything at 100% making the benefits under a plan N moot and wouldn't pay anything out.
