What’s The Fine For Not Having Health Insurance?
- 210 POINTSview profileRobert Lien, LUTCFOwner & Independent Agent, Northwest Insurance Agencies, Tumwater, WashingtonYou need to be more specific. Are you an individual and/or family or are you an employer with more than 50 FTE's (Full time equivalents.) Under the ACA (Affordable Care Act) you may have a fine if you do not have a qualified health plan that meets the minimum requirements.Answered on September 2, 2014flag this answer
- 165 POINTSview profileDorothy Faudiif you don't have health insurance before the end of the tax season for 2014, you could pay a penalty if: you don't have a policy either through the marketplace or through employer based plan. the penalty for 2014 is 1% or $95.00 whichever is higher. As answered in the previous comment, if you are an employer with more than 50 employees, and you are not offering them a qualified plan, not only will you pay a fine, but your employees will as well.Answered on September 2, 2014flag this answer
