Does Homeowners Insurance Cover Power Surges?

    When the cause of the power surge is outside the residence, damage caused by that power surge is excluded from coverage in most homeowner’s policies.  Most policies specifically exclude damage to tubes, transistors or similar electronic component.  If the type of damage you have experienced is different, please contact your agent.
