Health insurance plans cover most routine vaccinations for children from birth through age 18. Some of the covered vaccinations include hepatitis B, DPT (diptheria, pertussis and tetanus), MMR (measles, mumps and rubella).

Some adult vaccinations may be covered by your health insurance plan. Those may include annual influenza shots and shingles.

Also, some plans will cover the HPV vaccination for children and young adults.

In my state and when Obamacare kicks in completely I believe all states will cover vaccinations as preventative care.  Depending on your state, you may already have kids vaccinations covered in full and adults as well.  I know that when I visit my doctor, each year I get a flu shot, it is covered 100% by my plan.
