If I backed into a car illegally parked behind a obviously refrigderated who is at fault?

Ford E series cargo van with an obvious refrigeration unit on top and in cargo area, car was a mini cooper parked directly behind me illegally.

    That's a great question! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but my bet is parked illegally or not, since you were the one that caused the damage, it is going to most likely be your fault. You may get lucky and your lawyer may be able to argue out of it, but generally the one who causes the damage is liable, regardless of the circumstances. Good luck! Thanks for asking.
