Routine checkups and other common dental services would not be covered by Medicare.
Medicare may cover some procedures under certain conditions (e.g. you had to go to the emergency room and it was medically necessary to repair something in your mouth immediately) - you can check with Medicare if you're not sure if a given procedure would be covered.
You would need to add a separate dental insurance plan to provide coverage for routine services.

That is a great question! Unfortunately, the answer is not much. In fact, to be brutally honest, not much of anything. Some emergency procedures may be covered, but generally there will be a need for a separate dental plan if you want to have any kind of dental work done. My suggestion is to go to the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) website, www.healthcare.gov and look for a dental plan there. The policies found there can be purchased very cheaply, and it is very likely that you will qualify for help paying for it, if you purchase it through that exchange. Good luck, and thanks for asking!
