   Viva Medicare is a Medicare Advantage plan offered in certain counties in the state of Alabama. It has and HMO network of doctors, hospitals and pharmacies. The plan is connected to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The maximum out of pocket for Medicare services in a calendar year is $6,700. If you go outside their network of doctors or hospitals for non-emergency reasons you could end up paying 100% of the cost for Medicare approved services.
