   In Minnesota, you can pay your car insurance up to ten days late before an auto insurance provider can cancel your policy for nonpayment of premium. Although doing so may not be in your best interest, as it can cause you to incur late fees. You will always receive notice from your insurer of intent to cancel a policy.
