   What can be claimed on medicare is probably a longer list that I could enter here. However, I would say that Medicare (or any health insurance) would cover 2 basic categories. One is preventative care, such as routine physicals, mammograms, etc. The other is medically necessary care, which covers you when something is wrong. This would include items like doctor visits, lab testing, diagnostic testing, emergency room, hospitalization, etc.
