   Automobile insurance can be purchased on line.  Since that isn’t my area of expertise I suspect strongly that you must sign documents in order to implement coverage.  While that may seem attractive, you will be dealing with the same impersonal operation when you have a claim.  My recommendation is to contact a trusted insurance agent.  If you don’t have an agent, get referrals from friends, colleagues, or neighbors.  Then you will understand the range of limits and when you have a claim you will have a real human being to walk you through the claim.  The cost differential is negligible.  Satisfaction at the time of claim may be greatly increased.
