Does Home Insurance Cover Underground Pipes?
- 37376 POINTSview profileDavid G. Pipes, CLU®, RICP®Business Development Officer, T.D. McNeil Insurance Services, Fresno, CaliforniaIt is difficult to imagine when a homeowner’s policy would cover underground pipes. Most things that would affect underground pipes are excluded in a standard homeowner’s policy. Certainly normal deterioration or failure would not be covered. Movement of the ground is excluded. If the pipes were broken because an airplane fell on them, that is excluded also.Answered on May 1, 2014flag this answer
