Does Homeowners Insurance Cover Roof Collapse Due To Snow?
- 21750 POINTSview profileJim WinklerCEO/Owner, Winkler Financial Group, Houston, TexasGreat question! The answer is most often yes, if your home has a sloped roof, and your particular policy provides for that coverage. If your roof is flat, that is probably a different story. Typically with a flat roof, the risk for ice or snow damage is greatly increased, so your policy is either much more expensive, or that damage is excluded. Call your agent to be certain in either case. Good luck! Thanks for asking!Answered on May 1, 2014flag this answer
