Can You Have Two Insurance Policies On One Car?
- 37376 POINTSview profileDavid G. Pipes, CLU®, RICP®Business Development Officer, T.D. McNeil Insurance Services, Fresno, CaliforniaThis sometimes happens inadvertently. That will not allow the car owner to file a claim with both companies. That would be considered fraud in most states. If it has happened accidentally then you should decide which policy you want and have the other policy cancelled on the same date as the policy you want to keep started.Answered on May 1, 2014flag this answer
