   Generally, Medicare will not pay for health care or supplies you get outside the US. There are a few exceptions; details can be found at:  http://www.medicare.gov/Publications/pubs/pdf/11037.pdf.
   
   Normally the term "Expat" (Expatriate) refers to someone sent abroad from their employer - to a country other than their native country, for work.  Typically an Expat employment arrangement would include appropriate comprehensive health insurance coverage within the destination country regardless of the Expat’s age, and Medicare coverage would not be necessary.
