On average my clients pay about $100 per month for homeowner’s insurance.  However, that probably has little bearing on what you might be required to pay.  Each policy is individually underwritten and uses many rating factors.  Some common factors are; the location, the value, the history, local fire protection, and the cost of reconstruction.  There are additional factors that impact whether the company will insure the house at all.  An agent should be able to guide you through this process and give you a quote that will reflect your unique situation.
