   Not unless your auto insurance policy includes Mexico in 'Policy Period and Territory' or whatever substitutes for this. My New York Personal Auto Policy has a Part F - General Provisions which states:   A. " This policy only applies to accidents and losses which occur; 2. within the policy territory."  Farther on the policy reads: C. The policy territory is: 1. The United States of America, its territories or possessions; 2. Puerto Rico; or 3. Canada.   Over the years I have listened to experts advise "always purchase valid Mexico insurance before you drive your vehicle into Mexico no matter if you or anyone else thinks your policy covers driving your vehicle in Mexico."  If you cannot read and/or interpret your policy, have a competent, knowledgeable agent or broker read it for you and look for the policy territory to include Mexico to find your answer.
