    That is totally dependent on whether your insurance company will allow you to add cars to your policy online or not. I would recommend calling your insurance agent to add the vehicle, as you may qualify for discounts on your auto insurance for having multiple cars on the policy.

    An application for auto insurance must have the signature of a licensed agent in the state of California.  If you contact the company directly they will normally direct you to your agent.  That is really the best place to start as the agent has most of the necessary information in his files.
