    This is not a tax expert type answer. Auto expenses are normally deducted based upon actual expenses incurred or business mileage. When you deduct actual expenses incurred you would deduct fuel, tires, maintenance and yes, insurance. When you base your deduction on business mileage you do not deduct insurance.
