Technically, if you are dead it would be impossible for you to notify Medicare of your death.

Your family should notify Social Security of your death which should then also notify Medicare. Once Social Security is notified of a death they should stop future Social Security checks as well as deductions for any Medicare premiums.

If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, or Medicare supplement plan, your family should notify the carrier of the death.
