   Medicare Part D is your prescription drug plan.  It is a good idea to have a Part D plan in addition to a Medicare Supplement Plan.  When someone turns 65 they go on Medicare Part A & Medicare Part B.  They get Part D to cover prescriptions and a Medicare Supplement Plan to cover what Part A & B does not.
