    To be honest with you, that really depends on the severity of the loss.  If for example, you had a burst pipe in your home causing water damage, something like that can be settled in a matter of days.  If on the other hand your house was seriously damaged by fire to the point where it was a total loss, final settlements and finished re construction could take a year or more.
