Is Renters Insurance Cheaper Than Homeowners?
- 7647 POINTSview profileMark Bartlett CLCSBranch Owner, TWFG Insurance Services, Fremont California and the Greater Bay Area Representing Dozens of Insurance CarriersAssuming all things are equal yes renters insurance would have a lower premium since a tenant who will be purchasing renters insurance is not insuring the dwelling. (home, condo or apartment). Renters only need to cover their own personal property, liability, guest medical and loss of use while a landlord would consider all of the above and their dwelling.Answered on January 9, 2014flag this answer
