Medicare does cover medically necessary occupational therapy,  within certain limits. In 2014, after you have paid your Part B deductible ($147), Medicare will then cover 80% of charges for occupational therapy, up to an annual limit of $1920.  If your occupational thearpy exceeds this annual limit,  you can request additional coverage from Medicare once your therapy costs exceed $3700 for the calendar year.
