Where Can I Buy Disability Insurance?
- 63333 POINTSview profilePeggy MaceMost of the U.S.A good place to start is to use a search engine and simply search on the words, "disability insurance". However, many life insurance agencies sell disability insurance and may not show up, so going to a life insurance agency that sells many products is another avenue to buy disability insurance. To find a local agency, simply add your city to the search.Answered on September 28, 2013flag this answer

The internet is a resourceful tool when trying to find an agent in your area! Also, if you have a company in mind, they can recommend an agent in your area who is already contracted with their company. Regardless, when you find an agent, whether it be via the internet or a life agent in your area, make sure you ask for multiple quotes from various carriers. Your agent should be able to show you several options. Don't be too fixated on cost, but instead have your agent thoroughly explain the provisions of the policy. Cheaper doesn't mean better, nor does the most expensive mean the best!Answered on October 7, 2013flag this answer
- 410 POINTSview profileDrew WardOwner, LifeInsuranceForBusinesses.com, Atlanta, GeorgiaDisability insurance can be purchased from a licensed insurance agent with access to disability insurance companies. Be sure you trust the agent you are working with and look at all the options the disability insurance contract has. There are quite a few options that you can choose from when purchasing a policy. Be sure to choose a company that is highly rated and has a good reputation as well. Feel free to contact me if you need assistance.Answered on August 22, 2014flag this answer

You may apply online, call a company direct or purchase it from your local insurance agent. However, it truly is one of the complex insurance policies on the market. I recommend using an experienced disability insurance broker to shop the market to find the best product at the best price for your unique situation.Answered on August 22, 2014flag this answer
