Who Needs Disability Insurance?
- 2180 POINTSview profileKelly MoserSocial Media Strategist, Disability Insurance Services, CaliforniaAnyone who values their paycheck should get Disability Insurance. If you were to become disabled due to a sickness or injury, DI would pay a percentage of your income (about 60-65%) while you are unable to work. Considering the average American only has 90 days of cash reserves, yet the average disability lasts 31.2 months, it's important to be protected.Answered on September 24, 2013flag this answer

One of the greatest assets that we sometime fail to protect is our ability to earn a living or our income. The purpose of disability is to protect your income in the event of an unexpected and unforeseen accident or sickness. The question should be asked, if we have a sickness or accident will I still be able to live comfortably without my income?Answered on September 4, 2014flag this answer
