    If you are age 65 when you receive Social Security benefits, you will automatically be signed up for Medicare at age 65. If you are not yet receiving Social Security benefits, you can still sign up for Medicare benefits at age 65. When relying on your spouse's eligibility, you can get Medicare at age 65 if your spouse is at least age 62.
