   All homeowners insurance polices cover fire. There are 3 types of coverage's, basic, broad and special and all three will cover fire. Fire is the main reason why homeowners polices exist. In fact in the old days homeowners insurance polices were called fire policies since fire was pretty much all that was covered. Since then polices have become much more comprehensive.
