It may. Your renters insurance provides some liability coverage for accidents that occur on your premise that is listed on the policy that you are deemed responsible for. Most carriers provide one hundred thousand dollars of liability coverage in a base policy. Remember every policy is different. Please read your policy completely to understand the coverage provided and any exclusions that there may be or contact your local agent to have them go over the policy with you.

That is a great question! Your answer will be found in your homeowners policy, and the details of the accident. If the fall was due to some fault of yours, on your property, then hopefully your liability portion of your policy has you covered. But not all policies are the same, so you may want to contact your agent and have them give you your answer. Good luck, and thank you for asking!
