In order to receive benefits you must be diagnosed with an injury or illness so severe that you are no longer able to perform the duties of your occupation by a medically licensed physician. Then you must meet the elimination period requirements in the policy. Then benefits will be paid to the extent of the contract. The money may be used for any use you deem fit.Answered on September 21, 2014flag this answer
