    Yes you can. There are several carriers that can insure you even if you do not own a car. They call it named operator or non owned insurance. What it is, is insurance that covers liability only and roadside assistance is available also so that way if you get into an accident it covered that damage you do to other but it will not repair the car you are driving because you do not own the car. The only way you can get this coverage is if you do not have your name on a title of any car.  Call you local agent they can help you with this coverage.

    Yes, it is possible to have auto insurance without owning a vehicle. You would purchase what is called a "Named non-owner policy". This is typically liability only coverage that provides you coverage when you do not own a vehicle.
