   An act of vandelism that occurs to a vehicle may be covered by the auto insurance policy that is held on the vehicle that was damaged if the policy includes comprehensive coverage less the deductible on the policy. Renters insurance is very much like homeowners insurance and will normally provide coverage for the insured personal property on the premise as its main function.
