How Long Do Life Insurance Claims Take?
- 63333 POINTSview profilePeggy MaceMost of the U.S.Life insurance companies say to allow one to two months for a life insurance claim to be paid. This is after you send them a completed death claim form and certified death certificate. The process can be shorter, or, as in the case of a policy my dad took out 68 years ago, it could take a little longer. But it will get paid!Answered on July 2, 2013flag this answer

It takes between 30 and 60 days to process and receive the death benefit proceeds, longer if death occurred during the contestability period, i.e. the first two years of the policy.Answered on July 2, 2013+01 0+1 this answerflag this answerview more answers by David Racich
