Does Health Insurance Cover Lap Band Surgery?

    It depends on who your carrier is and how strict their underwriting is. If it is deemed medically needed, such as for morbid obesity then they probably will pay for it. If it just for cosmetic reasons, just to looes a couple of pounds then, no it most likely will not be covered. Health insurance companies don't like cover surgeries just to make people pretty.
