Is Erosion Covered By Homeowners Insurance?
- 16470 POINTSview profileDavid OsgoodAgent, Rural Mutual Insurance Co., Union Grove, WITypically erosion, just like vermin would be considered a maintaince issue not a claim issue for your homeowners insurance. Read your policy completely to know what coverage is provided and what exclusions there may be within it or contact your local agent to have them go over the policy with you.Answered on June 20, 2013flag this answer

There are two common exclusions that you would find in a homeowners' policy and damage caused by any form of earth movement is one of them. Flood is also common exclusion, however, unlike earth movement protection which can be endorsed onto a homeowners policy in many cases, flood insurance is only available by purchasing a Flood Insurance Policy.Answered on September 8, 2014flag this answer
