    Recording keeping can be a daunting task throughout a lifetime, but with new technology most statements can be scanned into your computer that uses a back up system. Scanning services may also be available in your community. Your adviser should also have statements and possibly your previous files before you engaged his or her services. some advisers recommend seven years, others three years.
