		<description><![CDATA[That is a great question! I think renters insurance is an absolute must anytime you are living in someone else&#039;s property, that isn&#039;t named Mom or Dad. ( and even then sometimes you may want it) A good rule of thumb is to have a policy anytime it could be possible that you would have to pay to replace all of your stuff if it were destroyed. So, an apartment, have it. A dorm room, where the college may have liability for it, maybe not. Either way, it&#039;s a cheap policy, and great protection. Be safe, buy it. 		<description><![CDATA[It is nice to have renter’s insurance in force at least one day prior to suffering damage to your personal property or the event that triggers a lawsuit.  You probably need to have a renter’s policy in force before you lease property as that is frequently a requirement of the landlord.   ]]></description>
