Medicare doesn't cover routine hearing exams, hearing aids, or exams for fitting hearing aids. Part B of Medicare will cover diagnostic hearing tests that your doctor orders for a medical reasons like a recent hearing loss due to an illness or injury. If your doctor orders a diagnostic hearing test, then you would pay the 20% Medicare leaves off if you don't have a Supplement, plus the Medicare Part B deductible if it has not already been met.

No, hearing aids are not covered by Medicare. You would be responsible for 100% of the costs for hearing aids - you can secure hearing insurance under a separate policy to have them covered.

Medicare Part B can cover diagnostic exams if your doctor says it's needed for medical treatment.

Please feel free to contact me for assistance. Thanks very much.
