		<description><![CDATA[California is one of five community property states.  In addition to the insured signing the application, the signature of both the husband and wife are required if they own a policy where the beneficiary is someone other than the two of them.  For example, if I buy a life policy on my life and name my sister as beneficiary, my wife also has to sign the application. ]]></description>
