You can generally obtain a cost reduction by having update inspections such as a 4 point, wind mitigation inspections, protective devices added such as a monitored alarm, storm shutters and in some cases increase your deductibles to offset the overal policy cost. If you live in a home that is over 20 years old, it is beneficial to have any updates documented by means of an inspection and share that with your insurance carrier.
